You will understand, lately, I have been totally obsessed with Dior products. I find that since Maria Grazia is in charge, I find myself more than once on their website scrolling through the creations…So, while waiting to offer me the handbag of my dreams, I have fun with their makeup ! Like every year, the house offers a limited edition. This year, it’s the Dior Holiday 2020 collection !
Dior Holiday 2020: the collection
For the holidays, Dior offers a limited edition but also a whole gift guide on the website, whether it’s beauty, fashion or interior ! A real treat for the eyes if you want to have a look.
In the Dior Holiday 2020 limited edition collection, you will find :
- the Golden Nights Limited Edition 5 Coleurs Couture Palette in two variations : Golden Snow and Black Night. Depending on your preferences, you will choose the palette with warm tones or cool tones.
- the Golden Nights limited edition Diorific Lipstick : the iconic red with the stick embossed with snowflakes.
- the Rouge Dior limited edition Golden Nights lipstick : the signature red with the stick embossed with snowflakes.
- the Couture Rouge Dior lipstick set : a pouch (which you can then reuse as a clutch) including a complete lipstick and 7 other spare shades.
For Christmas, the famous Backstage range (which I love) also offers a limited edition collection The Holiday Glow.
In addition to being nice gifts for the brand’s beauty addicts, the products are aesthetic and transport you to a magical world with frosted effects. With its delicate and majestic “snowflake” pattern, the make-up palette is an exclusive and refined object from the house of Dior.
Dior Palette 5 Couleurs Couture limited edition Golden Nights
I fell in love with one of the limited edition palettes during Black Friday. Indeed, Marionnaud had very good deals and I was able to take advantage of this palette with -30% pff !
The 5 Couleurs Couture palette, as its name suggests, consists of 5 eyeshadows, all shimmery. A large mirror lives in the upper part of the palette and two mini brushes are present (brushes that I never use…). My choice fell on the shade Golden Snow with a pearly white, a gold, a peach, an antique gold and a brown. The Black Night palette, more in bluish grey tones, is perfectly suited for creating smokey eyes. Personally, I knew that I would use the Golden Snow more easily on a daily basis, and not just during the holidays.
The formulation of the eyeshadows is extremely pleasant. It’s a long-lasting creamy powder. I have been using it for several days in the morning and the colors do not change. The finish remains intense. In terms of pigmentation, the gold and peach are a bit too light for my taste. As intense as antique gold and brown are, they lack of pigmentation – especially when you apply it with a brush. For a better result, prefer your finger or moisten your brush very lightly.
In today’s video, I wanted to recreate the look associated with the palette (in any case, I tried), I hope you will like the result !
