Here is the video of my winter empties. I have used these products for the past three months and I am bringing you up to date on the good discoveries I have tried and products that have flopped !
Products finished winter : what I loved
Making this type of video really allows me to take stock of the products that I liked or not and especially to create a small database of products that are compatible with perioral dermatitis.
Body products
You know that in winter, I have a pretty crazy consumption of body creams. As usual, I have several products from The Body Shop. The formula of body butters is always extremely pleasant and penetrates quickly. In terms of scents, I still really like the Almond Milk & Honey range. For the limited editions, the Christmas one: Festive Berry was a big crush. I liked the summer limited series a lot less.
Rituals offers fairly high-end products while remaining affordable. If you want to add a little pep in your skincare routines, bet on the Happy Buddha range which is really pleasant to use.
For the shower, I finished L’Artisan Parfumeur‘s Histoire d’Orangers shower gel which was just amazing. It’s one of my favorite creations from the house.
Finally, I finished an apricot oil from Aroma Zone – I wasn’t a huge fan.
THE BODY SHOP – Cool Cucumber Body Butter
THE BODY SHOP – Festive Berries Body Butter
THE BODY SHOP – Almond Milk & Honey Body Butter
RITUALS – Happy Budha Body Cream
L’ARTISAN PARFUMEUR – Histoire d’Orangers Shower Gel
AROMA ZONE – Apricot kernel oil
Hair Products
For the hair, I used a lime blossom shampoo from Jardin d’Apothicaire for normal hair. A basic shampoo that does its job every day.
You know I’m not a huge fan of dry shampoos. I finished the one from TIGI but I think I did not support it very well. I tended to be itchy. So I will not repeat the experience.
Finally, I did a one-month keratin cure from D-LAB Nutricosmetics which I really liked.
APOTHECARY GARDEN – Lime tree shampoo
TIGI – Catwalk Dry Shampoo
D-LAB NUTRICOSMTICS – Absolu de Kératine
Fragrances
Fragrance level, I have completed three references from The Body Shop‘s Elixirs of Nature range. I really liked using them to perfume my laundry or interior.
THE BODY SHOP – Elixirs of Nature Swietenia
THE BODY SHOP – Elixirs of Nature Bowhanti
THE BODY SHOP – Elixirs of Nature Kahaia
Skincare
I finished a two-phase makeup remover from Bourjois. It did its job but I did not find this product to be the most effective in its class.
For cleaning the face, I really liked the cleansing gel from Amore Puro which is formulated with olive oil from Tuscany. So yes, in the case of perioral dermatitis, vegetable oils are to be avoided. However, I think the dosage is right to avoid a reaction.
The one from Marionnaud, the Skin System range, is a good base for people with a smaller budget for their cosmetics.
I also took a month’s cure of hyaluronic acid tablets from Nutreov. I think this type of treatment should be extended over more than a month. However, I found that my skin was more radiant.
NUTREOV PHYSCIENCE – Skinsublim Hyaluronic Youth of the Skin
BOURJOIS – Express eye makeup remover
AMORE PURO – INOV Face Cleansing Gel
SKIN SYSTEME – Freshness Cleansing Jelly
