The Alchemist Workshop : a new olfactory language

The Alchemist Atelier has developed a new visual language to describe the composition of fragrances in a comprehensive, fun and intuitive way.

Thanks to quadrification and an iris, it is possible to fully interpret the smell of a perfume. The customers are presented to a composition palette of 16 bases and 18 chords, developed by renowned perfumers : Fanny Bal, Nicolas Beaulieu and Juliette Karagueuzoglou (author of Eau de Parfum Un Air de Bretagne).

The bases are the foundations of the future olfactory composition. As for the chords, they join in and enrich them.

The Alchemist Atelier experience at L’Artisan Parfumeur ends with finding a name for the creation. Once sealed, it is possible to re order your formula online or in store. The creative experience is also available in Gift Vouchers – which can be a great gift for perfume fans or when you are looking for a gift idea and find it difficult to stop your choice.

Autumn in Scotland : A wild history

An Autumn in Scotland is my creation that I imagined for this beginning of autumn season. The perfume is composed of notes that I particularly like : flowers, wood and a touch of spray and caramel to cover these bases with the warm autumnal and savory heat that I imagine when I think of Scotland.

In basic notes, I selected :

  • Blooming Floral,
  • Exotic Floral and
  • Creamy Wood.

In chords, I combined the following scents :

  • Marine Breeze,
  • Cedar Wood,
  • Caramel Gourmand and
  • Soft Musk.

The result is exactly what I could imagine for this season. The name came to me a little in a logical sequence of ideas – what inspired me notes and this desire to visit Scotland.

If you want to discover my creation, you can go to the shop L’Artisan Parfumeur, rue Vignon.
