On the occasion of the solstice of October, I will create an autumnal makeup with Zao Make-Up, the brand of zero waste makeup. I had the pleasure of discovering one of their last launch, I’m presenting it here !
Zao Make-Up Palette
For the new season, Zao launched two new palettes of ten eye shadows : “Clin d’oeil #1” and “Clin d’oeil #2”. The principle is to then refill the palette as desired with the rectangular eye shadows of the brand.
The “Clin d’oeil #1” palette is the one I’m presenting in this article with 4 matte eyeshadows (ivoire, rose pêche, vert militaire and noir) and 6 shimmery eyeshadows (ivoire, bronze, rose des sables, tiramisu, taupe et gris kaki).
The “Clin d’oeil #2” palette consists of 10 ultra shiny eyeshadows. You will find shades of gold, pink, plum, emerald, sapphire and silver (champagne, cuivre rosé, rose féérique, purple rain, bronze brun, orange doré, vert abysse, bleu nuit, gris anthracite, diamant gris).
The formula of eyeshadow is lovely : melting on the skin with a beautiful pigmentation. They last perfectly all day long. The products are very gentle to the eyes and do not cause irritation or discomfort during the day.
The packaging is simple and elegant. The bamboo case is compact enough to take anywhere. its large mirror makes the use of this palette very practical. A double-ended brush is attached to the pallet.
Autumnal makeup : which colors to choose?
Autumn offers many possibilities : gold, copper, brown, plum, khaki – the possibilities are endless ! The “Clin d’oeil # 1” palette offers a wide spectrum of hues that perfectly match the season in which we are right now.
Usage tips :
In order to make the best use of the Zao palette, you can apply a light or medium eyeshadow on the eyelid. Then choose a darker shade to emphasize the lower lashes. For an eyeliner effect, use the black eye shadow to thicken your upper lash line. Illuminate the inner corner of the eye with a clear pearly hue. Finish with your favorite mascara.
The look I propose is a plum smokey with the following shades :
- On the eyelid : Taupe eyeshadow.
- In the crease : Rose des Sables shade to intensify the look.
- Under the brow bone : Ivory eyeshadow to blend out.
- On the lower lashes line : Rose des Sables shade.
- In the inner corner : a touch of shimmery Ivory to brighten the look.
- Mascara.
