Autumn has set in well and if there is one dessert that I particularly like during this period is the crumble. Today, I’m going to share with you my oats apple crumble recipe. Why oats ? Because I find it gives the crumble a little nutty taste – which makes me fall even more into the fall. Then, replacing part of the flour with oats helps reduce the glycemic index of this delicacy. And you, do you like crumble ?
Oats apple crumble recipe
Ingredients for two large portions
100g of soft butter
80g flour
50g oats
80g brown sugar
1tsp cinnamon
3 apples
1 pear
2 figs
Some flaked almonds
Preheat the oven to 180 C (rotating heat).
First, prepare the crumble dough. In a bowl, combine the butter, sugar, flour, oats and cinnamon until the dough forms small pieces. The ideal is to work the dough with your fingers to obtain this shortbread texture.
Peel and seed the apples and pear. Cut them into small pieces. Rinse and cut the figs. Put all the fruits in the dish of your choice and sprinkle with crumble dough and a few slivered almonds.
Bake for about twenty minutes.
To be enjoyed a bit warm, on its own or with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
