Vegan makeup is increasingly being promoted by brands. The Body Shop is taking advantage of the arrival of spring to offer us three new products that I invite you to discover.
Vegan Makeup : The Body Shop
The Body Shop palettes is known for its vegan makeup Down To Earth. The brand comes back with two new palletes for spring.
Own your Naturals is the nude palette by excellence. It consists of seven light and dark matte shades that can fade and create transitions or smokey eyes easily. The five shimmery shades oscillate between gold, copper and brown.
Paint in Color is a palette with bolder colors. It offers six matt shades and six shimmery shades. Matte colors are natural and warm shades. The shimmery eyeshadows are composed of golden and burgundy reflections as well as a duck green and a nice plum. This palette has a more fun and wild touch.
The packaging is made of plastic with a box that is slender enough to slide this palette into your holiday vanity. A touch of color dresses the summer packaging that pays tribute to marula leaves and fruits.
Palletes are sold at a price of 20€ each.
Vegan Makeup : The Body Shop mascara
The Happy Go Lash mascara is 99% formulated ingredients of natural origin. The Body Shop promises that it’s THE mascara that will take care of your eyelashes.
It can be easily applied to help protect and maintain eyelashes while making them longer, thicker and defined.
Indeed, the Happy Go Lash mascara is enriched with beeswax from Cameroon and organic virgin coconut oil from Samoa, from Fairtrade.
This product is available in black.
The packaging is quite similar to the palettes with a mix of pink and green, fun and summery.
The mascara is sold at a price of 14 €.
My opinion
The Body Shop’s palettes I like a lot. The shadows that compose them are part of the shades that I use everyday. The texture is creamy – what makes them easy to apply and work in addition to being well pigmented. The shades lasts all day and do not dry eyes.
I have already tried the organic or vegan mascaras and I have always been disappointed. Natural effect but especially, they had a tendency to stain and make me panda eyes. The Body Shop reconciles me with this product because the Happy Go Lash does not stain and holds all day ! Its brush, slightly shaped like a Coke bottle, catches all the eyelashes and allows to deposit the mascara without smudging. Its formula enriched with beeswax and coconut oil makes the product slide on the eyelashes in a single gesture. The eyelashes are elongated, curved and defined. It does not sting your eyes.
