Jo Malone nous a récemment proposé une nouvelle collection en édition limitée qui s’inspire de l’esprit libre qu’inspirait le Bloomsbury Set (et de la Vanessa Bell’s Charleston House dans le Sussex) qui était un groupe d’artistes et d’intellectuels anglais du début du XXème siècle jusqu’au début de la 2nde Guerre Mondiale.
Presque tout ce qui le concerne offre matière à controverse, jusqu’à sa composition et à son nom. Avec cette collection de parfums, Jo Malone souhaite enfermer les notes d’une vie anticonformiste. Cette collection de cinq parfums capture l’essence enivrante d’une vie de bohème peu conventionnelle.
Les fragrances du Bloomsbury Set ont été développées par le nez Yann Vasnier. Comme toutes les créations de la marque, ces cinq parfums sont unisexes.
Blue Hyancinth Cologne
Une enivrante jacinthe d’un bleu vif réchauffée par le soleil avec l’éclat d’une note de géranium et d’un vétiver boisé.
Whiskey & Cedarwood Cologne
Un mélange énigmatique d’un délicat whisky et de roses opulentes mêlés à un piment épicé, à un cèdre chaud et à un accord intrigant de parquets cirés.
Leather & Artemisia Cologne
Les facettes vertes saisissantes de l’absinthe teintée d’anis se mélangent avec une aromatique artemisia, un doux bois d’iris et la profonde richesse du cuir, le tout intensifié par les notes boisées d’ambre de Cypriol.

L’odeur de l’aube sur un étang de nénuphars parsemé de fleurs de lis effervescentes, l’humidité d’une rosée verdoyante, un ylang ylang luxuriant, rehaussée d’un musc blanc et d’un soupçon de vanille.
Cette fragrance est celle pour laquelle j’ai craqué dans cette nouvelle édition limitée. Elle est aquatique, verte, florale et très fraiche tout en ayant une touche légèrement gourmande. Son sillage est délicat et sensuel et se marie parfaitement avec une de leurs fragrances plus fruitées comme Blackberry & Bay ou Nectarine Blossom & Honey.

Almost everything concerning him is controversial, up to its composition and name. With this collection of fragrances, Jo Malone wishes to enclose the notes of an anti-conformist life. This collection of five creations captures the intoxicating essence of an unconventional bohemian life.
The fragrances of the Bloomsbury Set were developed by Yann Vasnier. Like all the creations of the brand, these five fragrances are unisex.
Blue Hyancinth Cologne
Inspired by the gardens at Charleston House with an intoxicating bright blue hyacinth with the brilliance of a note of geranium and a woody vetiver.
Whiskey & Cedarwood Cologne
Inspired by nights at Charleston with an enigmatic mixture of delicate whisky and opulent roses mixed with a spicy chili, warm cedar and an intriguing accord of waxed wood floors.
Leather & Artemisia Cologne
Inspired by the library with the striking green facets of aniseed absinthe are mixed with an aromatic artemisia, a soft wood of orris and the richness of leather, all intensified by the woody notes of amber of Cypriol.
Tobacco & Mandarin Cologne
Inspired by the after dinner at Charleston where the explosion of mandarin and herbaceous sage softened by the warm elegance of pipe tobacco and beeswax are going through the night.
Garden Lilies Cologne
Inspired by the pond at Charleston House, an aquatic floral with water lily, green sap, ylang ylang, vanilla and white musk.
This fragrance is the one for which I fall in this new limited edition. It is aquatic, green, floral and very fresh while having a slightly sweet touch. Its track is delicate and sensual and combines perfectly with one of their more fruity fragrances like Blackberry & Bay or Nectarine Blossom & Honey.
