For the holidays, I am offering you a silver smokey makeup tutorial. I shared a lot of inspiration around warm colors, so it was time to turn the trend around and give you a frosty look. A few hours before the festivities, I hope this style will enchant you !

Silver smokey for a holiday makeup

Depending on your outfit, you will bet more on a warm eye look (we say yes to the look of embers !) Or a cold eye look (we also say yes to the look of ice !).

There are several ways to make a silver smokey :

  • powder shadows,
  • cream shadows,
  • the combination of the two !

For smokey eyes, I find that what makes the look last the best is to use either a cream base or a cream shadow (here, in a stick) in order to obtain more grip on the eyelid and avoid too much fall of glitter on the cheeks. Using a cream product also intensifies the color of the eyeshadows.

After putting on my stick, I intensify with a silver powder eyeshadow and come to create depth and that smokey touch with a darker grey and a shade between anthracite and plum.

A smokey wouldn’t be a smokey without a black pencil liner. Either you want a very structured look and you go for the gel eyeliner, or you want to give a more blurry and rock’n’roll touch to your eyes and you use a kohl pencil to enhance your lash lines.

Always think about blending to create a look full of nuances and degraded.

Smokey eyes need a good coat of mascara so don’t skimp on the quantity !

With such a loaded look, I preferred to go for nude lips but if you want to go 200%, take out your most beautiful red !

Bobbi Brown Long Lasting Cream Ombre Stick

If you’ve been following me for a while, you know that I’m a fan of cream eye shadows. Easy and quick to use on a daily basis, they can also be used as a basis for more sophisticated make-up, worked, etc.

I unearthed this Bobbi Brown eye shadow stick at Estée Lauder private sales and I totally fell in love with the metallic silver color. The texture is ultra melting on the skin, non-sticky and even refreshing. The formula is highly pigmented and has a flawless hold throughout the day.
