You know my crush on The Body Shop Masks Experts, when the brand launched its new coffee mask , I had only one idea : to test it!
Coffee Mask : The New Expert Mask from The Body Shop
The range of Expert Masks is expanding again with the Nicaraguan Coffee Intense Awakening Mask, the eighth born in this collection.
With this mask, The Body Shop wants to offer a “morning whip” with a rich texture and a gourmet fragrance. Its composition is enriched with coffee beans and fair trade ingredients : sesame seed oil from Nicaragua, shea butter and cocoa butter from Ghana, as well as organic cane sugar from Paraguay. Its formula is 100% vegan.
This mask is ideal for tired skin, dull and scruffy complexions. It will bring an exfoliation and an energy boost in a few minutes.
Its packaging is the same as the other masks in the range. It stands out with a coffee color label.
Its price is 20 € 75ml.
How to use a coffee mask ?
On a dry face, apply an even layer to the face using a brush or finger, avoiding the eye and mouth. Lower the product on the neck and décolleté if desired.
Leave for 5 to 10 minutes then rinse gently with warm water in circular motions or with a washable cotton pad. Finish with your usual face routine.
The Body Shop suggests an application 2-3 times a week. Personally, I think that once a week is already enough.
My opinion
As soon as opening the pot, a very greedy smell between coffee, chocolate and caramel grabs you. It’s very comforting – especially in the morning in autumn !
The texture is relatively thick but softens on contact with the skin. The coffee beans are fine and perfectly suited for use on the face.
After having the mask set, our mind is already awake with this aroma of coffee. The Nicaraguan Coffee Intense Awakening Mask is a 2-in-1 mask : both exfoliating and working on the skin balance. As for the skin, it is more plump and less wrinkled. With the exfoliation that the mask brings, the skin is refined and radiant. Rich in antioxidants, its composition will reduce the signs of fatigue and wake up the skin. This mask gives a good-looking effect to the face – which is perfect, especially at this time of the year !
